This adorable little lady was 5 days old when she came to my studio in Jersey City.

As you can see, she was awake for some of the shots.  Posing is typically easier when the baby is asleep.  However, every baby is unique and while we try to encourage sleepiness through frequent feedings during the session and by keeping the temperature in the studio high, some babies remain awake.  Every baby is different! Some sleep entire session, some wake up in the middle, and some are wide awake all the time . This is perfectly normal and I am able to get great photos of the little one regardless.

You’ll notice that the grandparents joined the session as well.  It was nice to see each family member smiling and excited about the new addition the family.
